Jumping Kids Entertainment is a full-sized school bus that has been converted into a safe fun gym for children ages 1-10 years! We are a unique, fun, energetic and empowering children’s entertainment company that promotes movement and physical activities in kids. We host parties/events, and fundraisers and attend schools/daycares.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with kids.
Duties Include:
• Preparing the bus at the start of the day to ensure a safe and fun environment
• Supervise and facilitate children’s structured and free play activities
• Provide a caring yet firm approach to the respectful treatment of all children
• Drive the Bus to and from all engagements
• General Maintenance (cleaning and organizing equipment)
Requirements:
• Valid Class “G” Driver’s license or higher
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Current First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain)
• Clean criminal record check/ vulnerable sector screening
• Flexible schedule
• Training will be provided
• Experience working with children ages 1-10years old
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable
Instructors must:
– Enjoy meeting new people
– Be reliable and organized
– Be available days and weekends
– Be able to cover classes as needed
– Have current Professional & General Liability Insurance to teach yoga
Qualifications:
– Minimum 1 year of experience leading classes (group or private)
– Specialty training/experience in kids Yoga
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Program Director, coaches are responsible for planning
organizing and implementing a high quality program that is stimulating and enjoyable for all participants. Coaches are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of registered participants at all times.
Position Duties:
Plan, organize and deliver high quality safe and stimulating gymnastics lessons for all levels of participants
Keep current with industry trends and new class formats
Provide a high level of front line customer service including greeting and engaging participants
Communicate with participants in regards to lesson opportunities and accident prevention
Maintain complete vigilance while on duty and be ready to respond to any emergency situation
Complete administrative duties in a timely manner (e.g. attendance, incident/accident reports, opening and closing procedures)
Maintain a safe and tidy program space ensuring equipment is set-up and stored appropriately
Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action
Maintain an understanding of department programs and services
Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
Attend meetings/training as required
Performs other duties as assigned
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Minimum 16 years of age
1 – 2 years gymnastics or related experience (i.e. cheerleading/dance) considered an asset
Demonstrate gymnastics ability during practical assessment
Current Standard First Aid / CPR C from an accredited organization, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
NCCP Full Foundations or Level 1 certification
High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport Certification, considered an
Skills Required –
Good leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team
Good interpersonal skills – Ability to communicate effectively with gymnasts, parents and other members of staff
Ability to understand the learning process and training principles
Ability to motivate and assist gymnasts to develop new skills safely
Knowledge of injury prevention – understanding how to reduce the risk of injury to gymnasts
Good time management skills and punctuality
Good at handling Kids
Role Purpose –
· To deliver recreational gymnastics programme to a high standard
Main Tasks –
To deliver coaching sessions to the level of your coaching qualification.
To do the necessary preparation and set up prior to the session and liaise with other coaches as needed.
To assist the Head Coach running sessions and following instructions.
To provide positive and fun sessions.
To act as a positive role model and lead by example. Demonstrate good coaching practice and provide motivation to all coaches and gymnasts.
Ensure that you abide by the gym rules at all times. Take the necessary action if there is a breach of the rules and notify the manager at the earliest possible opportunity.
To have a responsibility for the safeguarding and protection of children, and young people
To act in a responsible and appropriate manner at all times in accordance with the Ccompany’s codes of conduct, ethics and best practice.
To fulfil the duty of care towards all participants and members of the club.
To help raise the standard of gymnastics at the club.
To actively promote the company where possible.
To ensure accurate registers of your sessions are kept.
To communicate effectively with parents regarding your gymnasts progress.
